The Bowflex SelectTech 3.1 sofa is well-designed, with a thick, soft seat and a tapered backrest that helps with pushing movements and gives you more space and freedom. Keep in mind that the seat is not overloaded, only provide comfort and do not remove it when lifting.
Not everyone likes the cone-shaped back. Why? Some of the bigger guys think they need more support when they press flat, but personally I prefer them to bend over because it’s wider at the bottom, near the buttocks, giving you the extra support you need.
And because the backrest is narrower at the top, it will, as I said, provide more freedom of movement for some exercises, most of the Bowflex’s design.
You may think that the heavier the sofa, the more difficult it is to move, but you should not regard this as an inconvenience. I think a heavier bank gives more stability and speaks for quality.
Bowflex has given you the wheels of the backrest, making it much easier to move this bench when needed. All parts of the Bowflex bench are well made, and with a weight of 480 pounds and a body load this bench should be sufficient for most of us. I think there’s more to it than that, but I wouldn’t advise you to try.
A non-adjustable chair is the only problem with this sofa. You will notice that your buttocks may come forward a little if you lean forward while pushing.
