The Core Fitnessadjustable dumbbell is a very well thought out set with a maximum weight of 50 pounds per dumbbell, this adjustable set will fit most home gyms.
Ultra-fast rotary lock technology
The patented Core Fitness adjustment technique with twist lock allows you to change the weight of the dumbbells with one hand while sitting in the cradle.
The Core Fitness dumbbells are much faster than the pull and push system of the PowerBlock and slightly faster than the Blowflex 552 dumbbells.
So if you’re looking for a pair of adjustable dumbbells with a quick weight adjustment system with more than a significant weight range, then the Core Fitness dumbbells deserve serious attention.
The weight range may be a little low for experienced weight lifters, the 50 pounds per dumbbell may be limited for some, and there is no way to add extra weight to the dumbbells. I think the more extreme weight lifters should take a look at the Power Blocks Elite area where you can add up to 50 pounds – 100 pounds more.
But for most, the weight range of 50 pounds per dumbbell is more than enough to train for years, and with a 2-year warranty, Core Fitness has confidence in the durability of its adjustable dumbbells.
I don’t want to drop one on a hard floor, because everything that has to do with plastic and heavy metal together can lead to malfunctions when falling from a certain height, especially the handle. Be very careful and/or invest in a rubber floor in the gym.

Adjustable weight adjustment from 5 to 50 pounds per dumbbell
The only weight available for Core Fitness dumbbells is a set of 100 pounds, 2x 50 pounds, adjustable in steps of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50 pounds.
It would be nice to see a 50 pound body like other adjustable kits in this price range, but even without the extra weight gain options, 50 pounds per dumbbell would be more than enough for different isolation exercises for even the most experienced athletes.
The most efficient and fastest design I have seen on an adjustable dumbbell is probably very similar, or if not the same Stairmaster design you can use with their double priced adjustable dumbbell kits, but definitely one of the best you can find on the adjustable dumbbell market today.
In practice it’s very simple, put the dumbbell in the cradle and set the rotary lock to the right weight, it’s that simple!
You no longer need to unscrew the clamps, remove them and add plates by simply twisting your wrist and you have changed the weight.
You’ll be glad to know that both dumbbells come with their own crib. And no accidents with falling plates, because the handle actually penetrates through the dumbbells that hold it.

Bear in mind that there is no weight displacement on the dumbbells, the torsion lock operates in parallel for both ends of the dumbbells, i.e. when the handle is turned, the weight is adjusted in the same way at both ends.
I’ve never really understood why some athletes want it different with a set of dumbbells, the lift-off is better to leave the dumbbells on, it’s not a good idea with dumbbells, you end up with unwanted pressure on the joints.
The best adjustable dumbbell set – Guide and Reviews
Durability and quality of construction
The sturdy and compact design makes these dumbbells very popular. Dumbbells are shorter than Bowflex and Powerblocks, making them much easier to train, almost as natural as a fixed weight.
The solid but comfortably shaped handle, made of steel but covered with a rubber layer, offers an exciting grip that slips very little, even in wet weather.
The plates are covered with a high quality PVC, which protects them from rust and vibrations, but if you like to train to fail for a while and drop a few dumbbells, you should pay attention to the main plates.
I think the PVC covering can tear quite easily after a few drops, so I advise you to be very careful if you drop dumbbells from any height, even if you have a rubber floor. You could have handled the bank’s falls, but I wouldn’t risk it from any height.

As you have seen, the weight range of the dumbbells is of similar quality to the dumbbells and as you have seen, it is necessary to change the weight range of the dumbbells.
Both cradles are made of aluminium and PVC, the dumbbells fit into the holes at each end of the cradle and keep the pair firmly in place so that they cannot fall out when the dumbbells and the cradle are moved.
In general, the quality of the assembly is the upper limit of the price range, here I would say that nothing matches the nominal value and that there are no real claims.
Space-saving, easy to store.
Good weight range from 5 to 50 pounds
Construction with swivel lock and quick adjustment
The PVC weight cover can tear if it falls.
It is not possible to add additional dumbbells.
Adjustable dumbbell support with core
There is also a stand on the range of dumbbells where you can easily sit from cradle to cradle, a good option if the budget allows it, the stand is made of heavy steel tubes and is just as nice and comfortable as the dumbbells, a good idea if you don’t want to bend down to pick up the dumbbells every time.
- 30 high
- The stable frame keeps the dumbbells firmly in place.
- Makes training faster, safer and easier.
If you are interested in a stand, it is cheaper to buy a stand with dumbbells. Below you will find a link to both stands.
The swivel-locking adjustment system is my best-selling dumbbell function, it saves time and can be easily adjusted with one hand, which in combination with the compact design and a basic fitness pair doesn’t differ much from conventional fixed dumbbells.
